Byron Nicodemus: Founder of Citron Communications, LLC Byron brings extensive experience in the development and direction of marketing plans, sales training programs, advertising and public relations campaigns. He has taught or served as guest lecturer for several local colleges and universities including such institutions as University of Missouri at Kansas City and William Jewell College. He is listed in the Who's Who in Advertising and Who's Who in the Midwest (23rd edition). He has been recipient of numerous national and regional Awards for excellence and outstanding creativity in radio, television, print and direct mail advertising campaigns. Byron began his career as a Designer in the R&D department for a large manufacturing company, where he transferred to the Marketing Communications Department. This began a long career in the advertising and marketing communications industry. In 1972, he moved to the agency side of the business where he has served in a variety of capacities in both account management and the creative sides of the business. Byron formed his own company in 1988, originally named Marketing Services. The name was changed in 1993 to the current Citron Communications, LLC. Byron was the original founder of W.I.N.N.E.R. (Workers In Need of New Employment Resources) a non-profit, volunteer organization for the under and unemployed. He has served numerous Boards and committees for many not-for-profit organizations some of which were United Way, Lexington Tourism Commission and the Old Trails Road Scenic By-Way committee. Citron has performed pro-bono projects for many of the same organizations. Byron has worked on many accounts during his long and versatile career. He has served such accounts as: Hallmark Cards; Butler Manufacturing; UMB Banks; Kansas City Royals; Standard Oil; UMKC; Kansas City Scouts; Parker MCCrory Manufacturing; Arrow Material Handling Products; World of Wheels; C&R Manufacturing; Houlihan's Restaurant; Continental Pipe; Plaza Three Restaurant; Putsch's and many more. |
